Laboratory Assistant – Cosmetics/Pharmaceuticals
Auckland location
- Part-time role (15 hours per week)

This Australian skin care brand is now going global, and requires the skills of an experienced Laboratory Assistant to support their New Product Development team in Auckland.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Comprehensive supervised product testing, including stability testing
- Running the stability program - checking all samples in each incubator every week, taking the pH & viscosity and documenting all results in appropriate spreadsheets.
- Maintaining stocks of all ingredients in the lab and ordering more ingredient samples & lab equipment when needed
- To perform experiments / tests and documenting results
- To assist with the Sensory Testing program
- Make lab batches of cosmetic products (under supervision)
- Packaging, labelling and organising all samples ready for testing or other purposes as directed
- Ingredient research and documenting of potential new raw materials
What we are ideally looking for
- Tertiary qualification in science e.g. Diploma of Personal Care Formulation (may be currently studying) or proven relevant industry experience
- 1 years' experience working within a laboratory environment
- Demonstrated experience in the science of skin care (would be beneficial but not necessary)
- Knowledge of relevant technologies
- Knowledge of formulation development would be beneficial but not necessary
- Knowledge of laboratory practices
- Knowledge of R&D process would be beneficial but not necessary

We are currently seeking to appoint an R&D Chemist to join our team in the development, preparation and manufacture of trial batches of various pharmaceutical, cosmetic and veterinary products. This role will also be supporting our manufacturing process by providing technical and troubleshooting advice to our compounding team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Formulation and preparation of high end products for the marketplace.
- Perform validation and testing of formulations to ensure adequacy, or determine the need for reformulation.
- Provision of support and advice to our manufacturing team
- Process development.
- Preparation of pilot batch and scale up of lab batching.
- Applying judgment to analytical and sensory tests.
- Preparation of reports and documenting results of tests and analyses.
- Implementation of standards as required by TGA, APVMA, ACO and GMP.
Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Diploma of Personal Care Formulation
- A passion for product development and process optimisation.
- An understanding of GMP
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write technical documents and impart knowledge to people with varying levels of understanding.
- The ability to make smart decisions based on sound scientific analysis.

Sales Account Manager Trainee
Location: Singapore (18 months) then relocation to Melbourne, Australia
Job Summary:
Upon selection, the Trainee will participate in a program designed to prepare one for a career in field sales. The Sales Training program consists of departmental rotations which include:
- Customer Contact.
- Sales Support and Marketing.
- Technical Training in the applications lab.
- Inside Sales.
The Sales Trainee can expect to spend several weeks or months in various departments during this training program with the ultimate goal of achieving the ability to perform as an Account Manager.
Achieving the position of Account Manager will require relocation in Melbourne, Australia, and ability to do so is a prerequisite for selection to the Sales Trainee position.

Cosmetic Formulation Chemist (Part time/ up to 2 year contract)
Braeside office in Melbourne
PLACEMENT SUMMARY:
An exciting career opportunity has become available to take on a newly created experienced Product Formulator role within our Support Centre offices in Braeside. Specifically, we are looking for a Formulation Chemist with experience in the field of natural and organic skincare products. This is a part time role (2 to 3 days a week) that will work on our new and improved product line (approximately 25 products). Estimated project time frame 1 to 2 years.
You will be responsible for/assisting with the following:
- Research and Development of innovative and creative formulations that that meet COSMOS natural or organic standard
- Sourcing raw materials and analysis of information to determine COSMOS standard compatibility
- Design and formulate products to a high standard of efficacy and performance
- Perform calculations required to meet COSMOS certification
- Optimise formulation cost
- Develop a product stability program and monitor testing
- Continuous clear and organised record keeping and documentation of product development, test results and analyses
- Implementation of standards as required by TGA, COSMOS and GMP
- Work closely with the R&D department and communicate the status of projects to ensure that the formulation has been developed to meet the claims on brief

Full Time position for experienced QA Co Ordinator in a growing personal care manufacturing facility in South East Queensland. This person is responsible for the general organisation and co-ordination of quality assurance in the personal care areas, in line with ISO 22716 GMP standards, including stock and inventory control. Training can be provided if not experienced in ISO 22716 GMP standards
Responsibilities
- Maintain quality systems in line with ISO 22716 and GMP standards

- Generate batch documents for production
